The Constitution First Amendment Press Association (CFAPA.org) was founded in March, 2014 to provide credentials and to provide a venue for a mostly anonymous association of independent American Citizen Journalists. We providepress credentials free of charge to any adult American Citizen who accepts the Constitutional Journalist’s Pledge and who agrees to CFAPA’s Member Terms and Conditions.

While they may offer an ID of sorts, there is no record or attachment to the organization by receiving their ID. Simply having this ID may not help you with needing ties to a professional organization or trade organization to acquire media passes for events.

This is essentially the same as printing your own press ID. Sure you may have an ID, but what does that really mean? This approach may not stand up to vetting or scrutiny when people are considering giving you access.
